On Christmas Eve 1992 the owner of a successful Bay Area storage container company, Tote-A-Shed Inc, was asked if he could perform dumpster hauling service for a construction company that needed service right away. Other haulers had turned them away, but that did not change the fact that they needed fast quality service.

Seeing that he did not own any dumpster bins, but being a master of service, he rolled out the torch and cut the roof off of one of his containers. Now armed with his own bin, he hauled material from the jobsite to the landfill until the job was finished that night. At that moment, Premier Recycle was born.

The hauling service was extended to select Tote-A-Shed customers, to handle their construction and demolition material waste. Still taking material to the landfill, our company knew that a better service could be performed, one that would protect our vital resources from depletion and our environment from trash.

In 1994, Premier Recycle started sorting all material at the San Jose, CA based facility with the help of hard working employees that stepped up to the challenge. The present day facility sorts upwards of 1600 tons of material per week, with approximately 90% of that material not going to a landfill!

Premier Recycle believes in a higher standard of both recycling and service, and are dedicated to Recycling For Your Future.

Tote-A-Shed was sold in the Spring of 2008, but the legacy of excellence in service and personal attention to detail remains strong in Premier Recycle.
